Compare Medicare plansHave me do the research
Send me your medications, doctors and pharmacy in one secure form. I’ll compare every plan and get back to you.
Send my infoWhat I recommend
- Have your list ready: every medication with the dose, your doctors, and your pharmacy. These decide which plan is cheapest for you, more than the premium does.
- Look at the yearly total, not just the premium. A $0 plan can cost more if your drugs are on a high tier.
- Check the out-of-pocket maximum. That’s the most you’d pay in a bad year.
- Medicare Supplement: Plan G is the one most of my clients choose. Plan N has a lower premium with small copays.
- If your doctor or drug list changed this year, book a call and we’ll review it together.
Under 65: ACA / Marketplace plans
Open Enrollment runs November 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027. Enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1.

Shop ACA plansWhat I recommend
- Use your best estimate of next year’s household income. Your tax credit is based on it. Report changes during the year so you don’t owe at tax time.
- If your income is on the lower side, look at Silver plans first. You may qualify for extra savings that lower your deductible, and those only apply to Silver.
- Check that your doctors are in network before you pick a plan.
- Lost Medicaid / AHCCCS or job coverage? You may be able to enroll now. Call me.

- Families with children or a mortgage: I usually suggest about $1,000,000 of 20 to 30 year term for each working parent. Term gives you the most coverage for the lowest price.
- A simple rule: 10 to 12 times your yearly income, plus your mortgage and other debts.
- Pick a term that lasts until your youngest child is through school or your mortgage is paid off.
- Seniors: a final expense policy of $10,000 to $25,000 covers funeral costs so your family isn’t left with the bill.
- Don’t cancel an old policy until the new one is approved and in force.
Travel insurance
Medical coverage for trips outside the US, through Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions.
What I recommend
- Original Medicare generally doesn’t cover care outside the US, and many US health plans cover very little abroad.
- I suggest at least $100,000 in medical coverage and $250,000 or more for medical evacuation, especially for seniors or long trips.
- Buy before you leave, and keep the ID card on your phone.
